Stories from Students

Our students inspire us every day. Their stories are filled with growth, courage, friendship, and resilience, and we are grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside them in faith as they discover who God has created them to be. Through guidance, encouragement, and Christ-centered values, they learn to lead with confidence, compassion, and integrity.

Over the years, we have witnessed young people overcome obstacles, build meaningful relationships, and support one another through life’s challenges. Their voices matter here, and their leadership continues to shape the future of GenerationNOW. Many of the youth who once came through our programs now serve on our board, guiding our decisions with lived experience, faith, and a heart to serve others.

We could not be prouder of their journeys and are honored to share their stories, because they truly are the heart of GenerationNOW and a reflection of God’s work in the next generation.

I am so happy that I was introduced to this awesome organization during my monumental early teen years! Being apart of Generation NOW: Girls Squad has been such an amazing experience because I get to be myself and confide in other girls around my age. My involvement in Gen NOW has boosted my confidence and taught me how to overcome life’s challenges with grace!

To start off it wasn’t something I was interested in but overtime it became such a big part of my life and something I truly looked forward to. Mrs. Adrienne has become a second mom to me over these years. Her love for the youth is undeniable and you can see as well as feel how much she genuinely cares to uplift us. Her dedication and care towards encouraging and helping the youth be better versions of themselves is something rare to find. She is such a blessing to have and this group is an amazing source of fellowship to be apart of as well as a great source of education on beneficial subjects you need to know that you probably don’t or didn’t learn in school. I am forever grateful that I am able to be apart of this group and have someone like Adrienne Tucker to have in my corner.

Being a part of what is now known as GenNOW has been an incredible journey that I deeply cherish. Having been a part of this group for about eight years, it has not only given me a sense of belonging but also provided a space to grow, learn, and thrive alongside remarkable individuals. Among them, Adrienne Tucker stands out as both a mentor and a friend who has profoundly impacted my life. Her wisdom, kindness, and unwavering support have guided me through challenges and inspired me to reach new heights, encouraging me to delve deeper into myself.
